2011 Nun Run

A very successful Nun Run raised funds for the children and families of CHRISTUS School-Based Clinics in Houston on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare, the Blue Knights and the JC Space Riders, the Nun Run is a 50-mile motorcycle ride from Villa de Matel, the Congregation’s Motherhouse in Houston, to the Flight Museum in Galveston. There were more than 300 motorcycles in the event. Some of our Sisters rode in sidecars or on the back of the motorcycles while others traveled to Galveston on a bus or in cars.

This was the 7th annual Nun Run which helps raise funds to provide flu vaccines, health education and screenings, as well as assist with the provision of back-to-school supplies.
