On May 23, 2009, three Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word celebrated their Jubilees. Sister Mary Aloysius Mannion and Sister Mary Clotilde Hegarty celebrated their Diamond Jubilee, and Sister Mary Aquin O'Connor celebrated her Golden Jubilee. The Jubilee Eucharistic Celebration was held in the Motherhouse Chapel at Villa de Matel in Houston. Archbishop Emeritus Joseph A. Fiorenza was the main celebrant with several other priests concelebrating. Three of the concelebrating priests were seminary students of Sister Clotilde from Kenya, East Africa. The Mass was attended by many Sisters, family members and friends here for the celebration from Houston, California, New York, Ireland and Kenya. Following the Mass, a festive dinner honoring the Sisters and their years of service was held at the Dubius Center on the Villa campus.

The Sisters' 170 collective years of service to the Church span from Texas to Kenya. Sister Clotilde's professional service has been that of elementary school teacher, to that of teaching English and Old Testament to seminary students. Sister Aloysius' service has been that of a registered medical technician, registered radiology technician, a hospital administrator to a patient advocate. Sister Aquin spent her years of service as a nurse. Honoring the Sisters and their faithful service is also a testament to God's faithful caring for people through the faithfulness of God's servants.
