In Kiswahili, Ukarimu means “hospitality,” and we are delighted to extend our warmest welcome to you. As a Ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, TX, our mission is to make God’s presence real in our world today. Our vision for Ukarimu is to create a living house of prayer where people can deepen their relationship with God and renew their commitment to serving God and humanity. Our centre provides a serene environment with comfortable accommodations, nourishing meals, daily Mass, spiritual direction, and the sacrament of Confession to support our guests’ spiritual journey. We are deeply grateful for the many guests who choose Ukarimu as a place of retreat, reflection, and renewal. Whether you come for a seminar, workshop, meeting, or personal day of prayer, know that you are welcomed with open hearts. Ukarimu Spirituality Centre, a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in Kenya, provides spaces and opportunities for solitude, prayer, spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with God. Nestled in the tranquil Baraka Hills of the Rift Valley in Molo, the centre welcomes people of all faiths for retreats, spiritual direction, workshops and days of prayer. Our peaceful and carefully maintained grounds offer sacred chapels, winding paths, an historic prayer labyrinth and other devotional spaces help quiet the mind and spirit to hear the whispers of God. With a tradition of hospitality dating back to the mid-1980s, Ukarimu draws religious and lay persons to pray and discern as individuals and as groups. We also welcome Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and those who work for Peace, Justice and Integrity of Creation for workshops, meetings and events.
